Worked entirely with existing fusuma in two tatami rooms of the building,
a japanese sliding door made of layered papers. By tearing part of each layer,
hidden layers from the past are revealed and exposed, like a stratum
with traces and imprints of each owner. I drew number of lines along the torn
shapes to reactivate and channel each history, leading into the present layer.
取り壊し計画のある能古島旧公民館・管理人室にて、既存の襖の唐紙の断層を
露出し、内在する空間、時間、生活の歴史や痕跡を露にした。破れ目に沿うように
施したドローイングにより、それぞれの層・時代が接触し、現在の層へと振動する。
